PUT YOUR BODY
IN GOOD HANDS
Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured.
~B.K.S. Iyengar
Hi! I'm Helen
Mum of two, candle lover, mad yogi.
Since the first time I stepped onto a yoga mat 25 years ago, yoga has always provided me with a safe space to connect to myself and feel good from the inside out.
I discovered this practice at university in New York and instantly fell in love with it. I unlocked so much more strength, mental clarity and a feeling of vitality which was both nourishing and addictive at the same time!
In 2013 I decided to deepen my exploration so that I could share yoga with others. I embarked on the 200hr Triyoga teacher training program and although the next two years were challenging (running a small business and being a mother of two boys isn't easy!) I was so glad to have yoga as a way of connecting with myself.

I went on to complete a Kids Yoga Teacher Training through Kidding Around Yoga (KAY) and got so much joy out of being around children. Kids are such natural yogis: open-minded, creative and playful!
My practice is strongly grounded in Hatha yoga, and I continually search to deepen my knowledge and practice in order to share truth, authenticity- and also a fresh approach!

I'm passionate about sharing this gift of yoga with others, so that it can bring joy to people's lives- as it has done to mine.
"I firmly believe that whether you’re 7 or 70, yoga can offer huge benefits both mentally, physically and spiritually."
Private Adult and small group classes
London can be a crazy place to live! The opportunity to get on to my yoga mat and find the awareness to live more mindfully in the world has been invaluable to me.
Although this practice started in yoga classes for me, yoga is with me all the time. The word yoga means to bind, join or find union.
Yoga helps me to approach life with love and understanding.

Kids and Teen yoga
"Children are actually natural yogis. Their innate trust in others, combined with their lack of inhibitions, allows them to receive the teachings of yoga and grow from them in inspiring ways.
Adults have a lot to learn from the way children receive yoga! If we can lead them there, they will not only benefit, they will enjoy it immensely."
I have two young boys myself and I have seen first hand how much kids can benefit from having yoga in their lives. Through my years of teaching this colourful, playful, imaginative practice, I've learnt that children learn self-awareness through yoga.

Kids learn that our attitude and approach to life impacts the way we see reality and the way we treat other people. All of this is done with an immense sense of fun. We explore imaginary jungles, embody different animals work in groups to make shapes and learn how to share our creativity with others. It's magic!

Yoga also offers children an opportunity to learn something that is non-competitive, it also teaches kids to accept and love themselves. All bodies are different and all people are unique; different people are good at different things and that's ok! Even though we're all different, all living beings are to be cherished and respected as they are. Learned young, this incredibly valuable lesson arms kids with tools to fight off feelings of self-doubt that life can create within us.

Focus. Focus. Focus! We live in a world of distractions. More and more these days, kids seem unable to focus on anything for any decent length of time! Yoga can help with that. This practice teaches kids to be present, and to breathe easy. They learn how the breath can help them throughout the day, in any situation.
Yoga teaches kids the opportunity to be with their emotions. Often, young kids deal with frustration by crying and throwing tantrums. When they learn healthy breathing techniques and tools to focus their mind, they begin to learn how to apply those tools in their everyday lives and to react with more balance and awareness in any situation.
"I know as an adult, I see improvements in this area in myself. Just imagine if I had learnt more of these techniques as a child!"
